Luiz Felipe

I build web applications that pair solid engineering with thoughtful interface design — made not just to work, but to have a clear architecture, clean organization, and an experience people enjoy using.

Experience

Where I’ve worked

  1. IT Systems Developer

    Jun 2026 — present

    Atrio Imóveis

Building a new internal real estate system to manage clients, contracts, properties, rentals and sales, and agents — part of an architecture that currently brings in data from Superlógica and a WhatsApp chatbot for automated messages and requests.

    • React
    • Vite
    • Node.js
    • Express
    • PostgreSQL
    • JWT
    • Zod
    • Puppeteer
    • Vercel
    • Layered REST APIs (routes → controllers → services) with JWT authentication and httpOnly cookies.
    • Document generation (.docx contracts, boleto payment slips and PDF reports) plus QR code reading and generation.
    • Production data migration from Firestore to PostgreSQL with zero downtime.
    • Component-based design system with color and typography tokens and dark mode support.

What I’ve built

Personal portfolio

In progress

The very site you’re looking at — built from scratch with Next.js, Tailwind, and GSAP, with the same care for architecture and testing as my other projects.

Problem: I needed a place to present my projects and career with an experience as carefully crafted as the code behind it — not a static list of links.

  • Next.js
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind CSS
  • GSAP
  • Zod
  • MDX
  • Vitest
  • Playwright
  • Light and dark themes with a persisted preference and no flash of the wrong theme on load.
  • Scroll-driven entrance and parallax animations with GSAP, turned off automatically when the user prefers reduced motion (prefers-reduced-motion).
  • Custom cursor that only activates on devices with a fine pointer, and stays off on touch screens and when the user prefers reduced motion.
  • Optional interface sounds, off by default, with the preference persisted.
  • Typed content layer built on MDX with Zod validation, covered by unit (Vitest) and end-to-end (Playwright) tests.
About

How I work

I work where backend engineering meets interface design — I like systems that have to hold up under real load, and interfaces that make those systems easy to understand.

I’m a Software Engineering student, and I use projects outside the classroom to put into practice ideas that university only covers in theory — architecture, data consistency, performance, accessibility.

I prefer simple solutions that solve the right problem over abstractions built for problems that may never show up.
